Bob Gaines Undergraduate Research Fellowship in Mathematics
Description:
Established to honor the memory of Dr. Bob Gaines, a professor and chair emeritus of the Department of Mathematics and, later, vice provost for faculty affairs at CSU. It is awarded to undergraduate students interested in mathematics research.
Criteria:
1) Full-time undergraduate student 2) Interested in mathematics research - preference may be given to mathematics majors, but there should be enough flexibility that students majoring in another discipline could receive the award as long as the sponsoring professor is a mathematics professor 3) Have mathematics professor as their advisor 4) Have been approved for a research project during the fall/spring semester of the fellowship 5) Preference shall be given to students who have attained grade level status of junior or senior
