Michael Smith Scholarship in Chemistry

Description:
This scholarship was created by former chemistry student and CEO of Freeport LNG Development LP, Michael Smith, to benefit incoming undergraduate students majoring in Chemistry. Designed to encourage students towards meaningful and rewarding careers in the sciences, recipients are selected across a range of diverse backgrounds, demonstrate intellectual curiosity, and show strong leadership skills.
Criteria:
1) Resident of Colorado pursuing a first bachelor's degree and enrolling as a full-time freshman student at CSU 2) Be an accredited American Chemical Society (ACS) chemistry major in the College of Natural Sciences 3) Demonstrate financial need as established by the Office of Student Financial Services of CSU 4) Exhibit academic achievement demonstrated by high school grade point average, scholastic aptitude test scores, as well as academic rigor
