Description:

Created by chemistry alumnus, Andrew Friedwald, to honor his former professor, Dr. Stephen Thompson. This scholarship benefits undergraduates in the College of Natural Sciences with a preference for first-generation students.

Criteria:

1) Full-time undergraduate student enrolled in the College of Natural Sciences 2) Demonstrate financial need as established by the Office of Student Financial Services of CSU 3) Maintain an overall 3.0 GPA 4) Priority shall be given to students who are the first in their family to attend college (Scholarship(s) may be renewable, if the recipient(s) continue to meet all of the above criteria and an application is submitted every year.
